Power Steering NOT WORKING!!

    i have a saxo 1.4 furio Y reg, power steering is not working as the steering is VERY heavy, also when standing and trying to turn the wheel there is knocks

    Someone please help

    its most likely your power steering pump gone, common problem.
    can pick up a 2nd hand one for like £50 and theyre not particularly hard to fit if you're mechanically minded.

    Or you could give the metal part of your pump a tap with a hammer, that usually brings them back to life for a bit, but its not long term

    Check fuse.
    Check the pump has power.
    Check your heaters and rear screen demister works.
    Tap the pump with a rubber mallet.
    Check steering fluid.

    rightio will do that tomorrow, cannot hear the pump start up tho

    no mate, there is fluid in as i can see when i open the lid

    hi, noob here, would a pump from a 1.6 vtr work in my 1.1 stateside saxo ? both are T reg and look the same.
