rattling and juddering

On a long journey the car starts juddering pretty bad when I press on the accelerator. When I ease off it smoothes out. There is also a squeak when I a go on and come off the accelerator….. but by the end of the journey I couldn’t get over 55 mph without it rattling and juddering.

Any Ideas?

Could be an engine or gearbox mount. Whats it like setting off in 1st or in reverse? Whats the bite like on the clutch?

Bit vaugue on the description

Take it its a vtr, does it do it on shorter journeys, does it do it more with a hot engine? Has it been serviced recently, plugs etc?
Is it gear related or does it do it in lower gears too?

The squeak sounds like the down pipe to centre section exhaust where the fire ring is, more noticeable due to the main problem.

Yeah it’s a VTR… no not on short journey like this morning to work 20 miles no bother. Not sure on the service only owned for a couple of months. Probably not to be fair.
Think it’s mainly 5th gear it happens in when I came off the motorway and gave it some welly in 4th no problem.

Can be a bit clunky in first just seems to stick slightly on the clutch then kick into life… but I can feel a pull on the gear lever when I’m on and off the accelerator

lolz aside, whats the judder feel like, does it feel like engine hesitation, is it wheel shudder, is it a bad vibration like an exhaust rubbing?

It does feel a bit like a wheel shudder no engine hesitation that is obvious to me.exhaust has just been checked out so dont think its that. I would of thought it was too harsh to be down to the exhaust.

took this too the garage and they said it requires a new gearbox :l all engine and box mounts are fine apparantly. x
