I need to run bigger injectors in my car due to car under fueling because of turbo kit. Neway gti-6 injectors do they fit and will I need a remap? If fitted to rail will the car idle funny etc without remap

#2You will always need a standalone ecu and a remap if you are running bigger injectors, without this the car won't idle and keep cutting out
-
#3I don't see why I would need a standalone ecu couldn't I jus remap my ecu to run those injectors! If I uprated my fuel pump that would help stop it bog out
-
#4Fuel pump won't make any difference
There was talk of Wayne at chipwizards being able to get boost running on a stock ecu and remapped - the issue is with the ecu reading positive pressure off the map sensor, to then gauge the required amount of fuel. -
#5You will need a standalone ecu because the standard one won't be able to cope with the difference in fuelling between when your on full boost, and tootling around off boost, so if you use the standard one, you will either overfuel off boost, or underfuel when in boost which is disastrous as I found out the hard way
-
#6i don't see why you'll need a standalone ecu either but can't you try increasing the FRP to 4bar and adjusting the injector pulse durations? although this does depend upon what size turbo you've gone for if its a beast then as you said you will need bigger injectors
-
#7I'm running a garrett GT17 turbo so only a baby 1 and I have a 5th injector with the mf2 which I can adjust the fuel at each RPM which I haven't yet adjusted!
-
#8And I put a 4bar FPR in it already! I don't think the pump can keep up! I have to let off throttle to give the pump time to catch up then plant it then it goes like a rocket again
-
#9If you are using an mf2, then your best off adjusting the injector on that, as that injector is the one that fuels the boost
If you get bigger injectors, you would be best off ditching the mf2 and buying a standalone ecu and map that -
#10Yea an tinkering with mf2 as we speak! Not sure which way to adjust the little nut? Take it its clockwise for more fuel
