Saxo Rear n/s door won't open!

   Hi all, My gf's dad has a Saxo that he is keeping for me. I don't have access to it yet though. Anyway, the rear door is jammed shut and he doesn't know why. Apparently it was working last year but isn't now. Does anyone know how to sort it out without buying a new door for it?

   Also, would this problem fail an MOT test? To me it's only a door that i would hardly be using.

   I imagine it would mate! all doors need to open.
   
   Might be the latch inside thats come loose stopping you?

   it could be a broken rod inside the door that links the handle to the lock. maybe try opening it from inside, maybe take the door card off and have a look from inside if you cant open door at all.

   im starting to have the same problem with my driver door ... basically the thing that holds the door open has snapped and bent inside meaning it gets stuck sometimes, dont know this may have happened more drastically in ur car?
