Buying a New Saxo

    Basically im bored of my 1.1 and dont really like flat-arches so have my eyes on a posi-blue 1.4 furio (2002 reg).

    Im just looking for some advice of what i should look for on the car before buying. What are the danger areas and things that mean i should definitely avoid the car?

    Check for rust in:

    Boot floor
    wheel arches
    under ecu tray
    under fuse box (engine bay)

    These are the main places i can think of..

    I think the rest is just common sense really like does it drive ok no odd knocks or noises etc and check everything works blablabla..

    Just take your time and check it all over properly before parting with your cash

    aha funnily enough all the places u mentioned are the ones caked in rust in my car lmao

    Also check rear axle see if there camber in the wheels and like above for those rust spots and nocking or clunking if you give it a test drive.

    Look at the service history to see when the cambelt was done.
