Changed to 40mm lower springs but do I need to fit different drop links?

I have recently lowered my VTR 40mm on the front (the back someone else can do as the front was bad enough). I actually had to cut the drop links off when removing the struts as the allen key holes in the end of the bolt where rusted to hell and rounded in seconds. Once the springs were changed I put it all back together with new drop links but the nearside one looks slightly bent to me. As the strut is technically now 40mm higher than before does it matter that I am still using standard drop links as surely this is forcing the ARB down more than usual?

Also I need the rear torsion bar lowering 40mm to match. Am in Coventry so want someone good, cheap and local. Have tried Willsy and Lee but no reply yet so suggestions welcome?

    Cheers fellas.

The first pic your drop link is broken. Unless you didnt mean to post the pic of a drop link you had to cut in half.

Second pic the drop link looks absoultey fine, no problem there.

Everyone uses standard drop links as there aint any other alternatives off the shelf apart from the rose jointed ones which you wont benifit over anyway.

Try IM Axles for lowering the rear.
