question about tax

   not so much a problem more a curious question,
   
   was looking at getting a project mk1 vtr to mess about with and teach myself things, just been looking it up on the vehicle check and shows tax as 121 quid for 6 months but my mk2 vtr was only 93.50? is there any particular reason for this?

   my 1.4 02 plate is 93.50 too :@
   
   robbing bastards, girl at work occasionally drives her dad's 11 plate mundano and thats about £120 for the fucking year !!!
