Complete service advice please?

I've had my 1.1 for a little over a year now, and it's not feeling amazing to drive. I had a small service on it shortly after buying (oil change, oil filter, timing belt kit, water pump), but I'm now thinking of doing a complete overhaul and servicing everything. So I'm looking at what sort of stuff I should be looking at replacing / servicing to have her running like a beaut again!

    Thanks in advance!

A service at my place mate is plugs, oil, oil filter, air filter, general look over and a complete brake check cleaning them up and adjusting (shoes). grease doors and stuff, brake fluid check/ change, coolant check/ change. cambelts if they need doing but rarely. air pressures and a nice clean and hoover. cars generally feel refeshed and a lil bit more grunty depending on plugs. washers adjusting and filling, pollen filters now and again and a diagnostics.

do most of that yourself really rather than pay out. but generally a service is the top line.

Its not that the performance has gone down mate, its the fact that you`ve got used to power. Its like buying a new laptop at first you think wow this is fast then after a while you`re thinking this things slow.

Yeah, I'm not looking for enhanced performance. Rev's are all over the place, drops sometimes when taking off from static (engine warm or cold, almost like it's faking stalling). Would mainly be trying to solve this problem.. along with pro-longing the life of the engine by replacing / maintaining parts.. Just gonna finally get off my arse and look after it properly!

i'd also give the throttle body a clean up and if you have a old mark 1 1.1 then the ht leads too.

    Get the injectors ultrasonically cleaned.

The only ones I struggled with was fuel filter and gearbox oil both a little bit of a pain, rest is easy Haynes manual will help lots. Get it at Halfrauds or amazon/ebay

Yeah, I'll have to reluctantly put some money into halfrauds pocket's and get one! I can get my car on a lift while I service, make things a little easier on myself

Be very careful with the fuel filter, its a presurised system and you can easily get covered in petrol
