Urgent abs help

    Right ive taken the sensors out and my mot is tomorrow can i plug a resister into the where the sensors should have been to knock the light out this is only a temp thing until my new sensors turn up.. Could it do the same as when u take the airbags out n use a resistor to knock that light out? Cheers peeps need advise asap

    Can't you just take ya dash out and take the bulb out? No bulb = No light on!
    Sorry i can't help anymore than that. I understand your frustation as I have the same problems when asking questions on here.

    You won't be able to put a resistor in I'm afraid as the unit is looking for pulses rather than resistance.

    Take your clock out, wire your abs light to your oil light, this way it will illuminate when you turn on ignition then go out. They can fail you if you just take the bulb out.

    Nah the bulb has to light up i think mate for the mot :-s surely though if the car doesnt have abs (if i take it all out) then surely it cannot fail if it doesnt hav it? And ahh ok so resistor wont work :-s any ideas? I was wanting to take the abs out anyway jus want to knock the light out :-(

    Other than that.. Surley vtrs without abs have a light that doesnt light up?

    Buy some sensors end of, dont mess around with other ways of trying to fix been there done that got the t shirt just buy new sensors believe me

    If you remove the whole system you will need a 4 port master cylinder, then you will need to change the brake pipes to suit.

    I'm binning my abs this week, I picked up a 23mm 4 port master cylinder from a 406, then I can get my 283mm brakes on.
