    Just cammed my 16v (Catcams 743's) and now this

    Standerd timing marks but my ecu has been raised to 7800rpm
    What you think?

    I`ve heard that sound before i`m sure of it & the poster was told that his lifters wanted replacing.

    I could be wrong though mate,check your timing again did the instructions for the cams say to use standard timing?

    this probs wont help much but i got mine fitted bout 3 weeks ago (743's) and the guy who done mine just said they were set to standard timing marks. never had no problems. its mapped now

    just leave it to run mate.

    it's just that all the oil has gone out of the lifters. did you squeeze the oil out of the lifters when you cammed it?

    what oil are you using?

    tbf as it ages you will get a faint tapping but, it'll not go away without new lifters,
    leave it running for about an hour. there may be a faint tap but wouldn't worry about it. oh re-check the oil level aswell. once it's quietend up
