Exhaust System Component Mixing?

   Is there any major down side to component mixing when it comes to the exhaust system? for example, having a janspeed manifold, on to the standard cat, then a supersprint pipe followed by a powerflow backbox?

   Only thing I can think of is bore size ie going from 1 size to another may affect things like back pressure.Whereas if the exhaust is all from 1 manufacturer then its all matched & should work better,just my take & I stand to be corrected.

   As above, only if the bore size is different.
   
   I have a raceland mani, magnex decat pipe and a janspeed centre/backbox.
