couple of hose questions

    1. on a saxo vtr 98bhp type. on the front of the throttle body there's a hose which runs to the left of the engine, down the cambelt case and into the drivers wing. what is this for? am i right in thinking its to do with the airbag?

    2. also all the small vacuum hoses (brake servo to t/b and the t/b to air filter and breather etc. what size I/D does this need to be? is it 5mm. cheers

    1. Im sure this is something called a carbon canister? Something to do with emissions.. I've pulled mine off, but not done a proper emission's..

    Not sure on 2 tho bud.

    ahhh yeah i took the canister out of my wing when i did the vtr conversion and my mate blocked the plastic pipe coming out the front of the tb that the hose was on. is this ok?

    I Assume so, I've read that people remove them as they're pretty useless.. so must be able to pass normal emissions tests.

    goood so blocking the hole wont do harm. thats good lol.
    im planning on tidying my engine bay up a bit now so was curious to if the hose was important. saves me ordering another meter or so of silicone hose lol
