Ok, when i got my car this connection was unclipped. Car runs lumpy at 2k revs and when i put the foot down it dont really like it!

Ps this is not my engine bay (raining outside and not going out ha) but just a pic i found on good old trusty google.

Ive circled the connection im on about.

Any reason why they have unplugged it? I plugged it in a few weeks back but then the car went into kangaroo mode

    Cheers

Any idea why it would be unplugged and what effect it would have? And after plugging it back in will the ecu need some miles on the clock to get used to it again? I think it may have been unplugged for some time.

It reads how much air comes into the inlet and tells the ECU how much fuel to give to the car for the correct mixture. As your is unplugged the chances are its short curcuit and giving the ECU a false reading, making it inject more or less petrol making it run shite or bog down...

Yes exactly the problem im having. Feels shite, put the foot down and its like driving a 1ltr or something. Struggles to go past say 4k revs. And when driving around town, if i need to put the foot down while getting out of a junction it dont like it one bit! Seems to be using a fair amount of fuel aswell! With that unplugged it idles around 500/600 and with it plugged in it sits just over 1000. Hmmmm

Yea, im a complete noob with Citroen's but learning fast. It was unplugged when i got the car and i thought to myself "Must be unplugged for a reason!" Gonna plug it in and give it a drive! Will report back with my findings.

Problem solved! Actually feels good to drive now that ive reconnected it! Only hesitated before as it felt like it was kangarooing! But, no more bogging down and actually shifts now. Happy happy
