could be a number of things mate, driveshafts, steering columm, top shocker mounts, bushes? main bush to try is the one located on the steering rack bolt

    Strut top mounts

    Drivshaft's CV joint's in particular

Spring could be snapped or not seated properly

The main torx bolt on the steering rack might need changing/tightening (need a big ass breaker bar to get it tight.)

Of of those will most likely be the reason for your CLUNK..

drive shafts are all in good order no split boots and still full of grease
springs are perfect as had new springs fitter by a garage for mot lol
but will try the torx bolt, if i knew where it was So sorry to be a pain in the ass

i looked all the way across the the front end of the car and the only thing that was loose was the 2 bolts that hold the wishbone on inside the car on the passenger sode so got and air socket on there and done them up!!!! All sorted now not a noise coming from anywhere

Ahh so it was a knock over bump's?

I'd of said those bolt's if you said knock.. not clunk

    Glad you sorted it

I have this problem. But it's like all of the time even over the smallest of bumps.
