Can anyone tell me, on the steering rack, where the two track rods meet, that "knuckle"
Do they have any up and down movement in them?
I can grab it and move it on the vertical a good few mm.
With the near side front jacked up if I palm the tyre quickly and hard I get this movement, like a track rod end gone, but they are both fine.
But all the movement seems to be coming from this knuckle where the two track rods come together.
This has manifested itself down the road as a horrendous vibration, like when a wheel is out of balance.
The bottom arms are new, roll bar drop links new, struts rebuilt. This play on the rack is all I can find, is it a common part of the rack to wear?
