Important! : Not holding revs!

    Hi guys, i just recently bought a P reg vtr and having a couple of problems. First off, the brakes are shot to shit so new discs, pads n hoses have been ordered (all uprated of course) but i heard a rumour that the vts master cylinder is bigger and is a worthwhile investment. Also is there anywhere that i can buy a refurb kit for the calipers? Secondly it wont hold revs unless i rev its tits off. It just dies otherwise. Any ideas? Any help would be great. Thanks, arfur!

    Not sure about the master cylider, i thnik theyre the same tbh?
    and do you mean its cutting out when you take your foot off the pedal?

    Yeah i thought that. A lad i know says the master is bigger on a vts but he is a know it all, apparently haha! Yeah if i take me foot off the accelerator, the engine just cuts out. A few folk say it could b the icv? Any thoughts?

    does it cut out when the engines hot/cold or all the time? id clean the map sensor first

    Tbh i had started it up to move it onto a trailer. It had been sat for a few weeks but the previous owner regularly started it. I tried reversing it onto the trailer but caught one of the exhaust flanges on the ramp n after that, it wouldnt keep idle. Me mate reckons theres a loss of back pressure due to a crack in the exhaust or summat. I just dunno where to start looking.
