    remove plastic from insideboot lid.

Check if you can manually lock it by turning the key first.
look for the motor to lock the boot, check if its wired in,

Mate this happened to mine. Take the inner plastic off the boot and look at what's going on when you lock it unlock it open it and when you try and open it when it's locked. Just understand how it works. And see if the solenoid is moving. If it is check what's not happening. If it isn't find out why. Check the plug check there is power to the unit. If not message me and I'll help. Maybe take a video of underneath the plastic

hi thanks for reply, yeah ive looked how it all works n that, there seems to be no power going to it from the CL and the key wont turn it at all but the barrel seems free from the inside.. the back window wiper motor has been removed would this make any differance?

I doubt it, if the solenoid is stuck the you won't be able to lock it using the key, get a small torx key and take the solenoid out, at least then you can manually lock it. I cut my solenoid open packed it with a tiny shim to stop it catching on the casing and put some grease in it and taped it up, it's worked ever since

With mine I have to puch the boot button in slightly then press the keyfob and it'll lock.

It's due to the latch not hooking the lock.

You should be able to unlock/lock all doors/boot manually.
