mk2 VTR Exhaust

   I've had a search but nothing is clearing my question up. I've seen some information, and some exhausts on eBay that show a silencer in the centre pipe. My car doesn't have one, it's an 02 VTR.
   
   My question is should it have one there? I just think my car is excessively loud, and i only have standard parts on it, nothing fancy.

   Do you know if it makes much of a noise difference without? Because if so I want one.

   sounds to me like it hasnt had a catylitic converter put on it or a decat pipe

   Just had a brand new cat on it after it failed the MOT last week. There's no mid silencer though.
