No reverse lights

  1. #1
Just been told by a neighbour both my reverse lights don't work. Checked all the bulbs and they seem fine.

Can someone tell me what fuse to look for. Is it under the dash or in the engine bay?

    Thanks

http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...025#post875025 if its not the fuse then it maybe a faulty reverse light switch(on gearbox)

If the fuse is ok, when you check the reverse switch on top of the gearbox, check that its tight before you dismiss it as broken, seen them work slightly loose a couple of times now which causes the lights not to work.

For me it was a bad connection in the light unit. Give it a clean and bend it if needed. Sorted

This is obviously possible, but i doubt both have gone at exactly the same time due to a bad connection tbh.

To check the reverse light switch remove the plug going into the switch on gearbox and bridge the plug and see if the lights go on.

So the little white plug on the gearbox is my reverse light sensor?

If that is nice and tight and the pins are clean, i'm guessing it'd be the circuit board in the rear lights?

Even if it is as above the sensor could be broken inside.

This, they are easy to get hold off and inexpensive as well.

Just checked connection and it's fine. I've also checked the fittings and bulbs and that's fine. Fuse is fine so maybe the unit on top of the box is a problem.
