So i changed the head gasket on my car a few weeks back with no issues. Expect with the rise of the new gasket my tappets were, well, tapping. I adjusted them fine the first time and they were fine for about a week, then they started again. Read around and found out that it could be of been the gasket had settled, needless i done them again. Which then solved it for another week but then i noticed it would tap when it was cold, but not when it was hot, but then a changed them again, but it switch so now it tapped when hot and not cold. I would do them again! but seems i would just waste my time. Its very embarrassing when your car sounds like a diesel as you can imagine but i was just wondering if there is anything else it could be that i don't know about. I've pencilled in my car at garage to have them done by a on tuesday, but would like to solve it before hand if possible to save time and money.
