changing clutch cable

    How easy is it to do on a drive? Mines just gone and would rather do it myself to save money.

    However, if its proper fiddly, whats the going rate at a garage??

    its not difficult at all but it can be a pain in the arse trying to feed it through the bulkhead
    i tied some wire to the hook on the new cable an pulled it through from the pedal end

    Will any cable from a 106/ saxo fit? Places listing 1.1/1.4 etc but theyre all the same pedals and gearbox so why its like that is beyond me!

    the first cable I got had a different end on it to the one on my car an wouldnt fit through the bulkhead at all, i had to return it for the correct one
    so there must be a difference somewhere

    luckily found one in motor factors, exactly the same.

    took us 10 minutes to get the old one out, and 2 hours to route the new one in as we forgot the string :-/
