Exhaust question

  1. #1
Just had a look under my 1.1 saxo desire (2001) model.

Now it has the backbox, and a straight pipe all the way down the bottom assuming it doesn't have a cat? not too sure but here's a pic.

The question is, I want to add an after market exhaust.

How hard is it to change the backbox? and should I get a garage to do it or try myself.

It will be in the mani the cat and its very easy changing the backbox. undo the bracket.

as said as above, and also very straight forward to do the manifold aswell if you want to change that

Ok sounds good, not too fussed about the cat tbh.

Whilst the weather is good that car wants a good dose of rust prevention on the underneath mate.

Right well I'm just buying the backbox on it's own. Doesn't come with a fitting kit just the pipe itself.

Is there anything else I need to buy to keep the backbox up?
