breaking a vtr

   How much can usually be earned from breaking a mk1 vtr and them scrapping what's left?
   
   Do these metal companies expect the whole car or will they take the shell and what's left and give me cash for it still?

   Depends on the condition of everything? Obviously if the beam is good thats a decent amount. Which wheels? Engine & box ok? Driveshafts? Obviously got smaller things such as lights, power steering pumps etc as well. I've broken a few now and have always made a decent amount of cash back for the amount of work, wouldnt hesitate to do it again. I always borrow a mates recovery truck and take it there myself when i'm done, but the ones local to me will come and collect a shell, i would just ring a couple up and check before if i were you.    i some times take the car myselff but if i have no time there are a fewoff my
   mates that will collect a shell or whatever i have left . i would call around as a saxo isnt a heavy car . apart from that put it up for sale as someone maybe looking for a project as i have 3 project saxo mk1's now

   Lowering shocks/springs
   rear uprated shocks
   Possible VT body kit
   Boot (red. any red)

   You could make at least £100 for the locks (with ignition). £100-ish for the alloys, £100-£150 for the engine, £30-£40-ish for the tailgate, not sure about the body kit, maybe £100-ish for the seats...

   What Cam said are more accurate prices. That said, by the time you've sold lots of parts it all adds up and you will do fairly well out of it if you can find a way to sell it all.
