single plug engine into a 3 plug engine

  1. #1
I currently have a 3plug vts engine that needs replacing and ive seen a few 16v engines but they are single plug. Can i simply put the single plug engine in my car and still use my original 3plug ecu and loom etc?
Sorry if this confuses people, i've tried to search but im still not sure tbh.

    Thanks for the help,

    Chris

    Yeah you can mate,

Will need to swap the coilpack/alternator/map sensor/injector loom/temp sensor's/TPS over though.. as they will all be single plug connectors so your 3-plug loom wont have right connectors - but if you have both engines, you have all the part's

You'll keep/use the 3 plug loom that's already on the car..

Just that the new single plug engine will need all those bit's I mentioned from the 3-plug engine that is already in the car
