alt belt

   had all the belts changed last year maybe year before, but def had the alt belt tightened a lil last service as it was squeeking a bit not 6 months down line its doing the squeek again, can i tighten it myself or is it just a shit belt?

   Alternator(drivebelt)yes you can adjust yourself mate.

   according to haynes this is just a case of tightening the bolt that is sticking out the front untill slack is gone or 5mm slack is there or something. but if going from top of car which way am i moving the nut towards pass or driver side?

   ok adjusted this and the squeak or constant squeak seems to be coming from behind the rocker cover??? anyone care to shed light on what could be squeaking?
