lack of power and spluttering

   Hi ive got a vtr and its suddenly started spluttering everynow and again and is lacking power more at low revs but lacks power all the time. ive already changed the coil pack, spark plugs and fuel filter and its done nothing, any more ideas? Any help greatful cheers

   Outside chance it maybe a faulty alternator mate,get it tested.

   Could possibly be a faulty injector

   Quite common for the ignition amplifier to go on these, I had one go on my 8v and originally changes the coil pack which didn't sort it. It's behind the coil pack and bolts to the block, usually with a wide 7 pin plug..

   Doesn`t this usually happen though when the car is hot?

   Dudn't seem to make a difference when mine went. Would randomly rubbfine every so often, but other than that was on 2 cylinders! Is it misfiring on 2 cylinders? You can check by taking the HT leads off one at a time. If it's missing on 2 cylinders I'd say ignition amp is at fault as they're a wasted spark system.

   my citroen saxo had no power on motaway i stoped on hard sholder then would start engine light came aa said it was coil or plugs its auto 2001 it was spluttering on long jurneys what should my mic look 4

    hi my 02 vtr splutters/misfires at 4000rpm in every gear every time without fail. its realy annoying and cant get to the bottom of it. changed coil pack, plugs, fuel filter and crank sensor. could it be the injectors???

    That sounds like the map sensors on its way out mate
