hi im new to this site recently bought a 2000 saxo furio but it has a 1.6 8v vtr engine it all seems to be done professionly but i know how much these french cars can be bottomless moneypits after owning a 106 gti and driveshafts nearly bankrupt me... the car has been cammed ecu remap 4 branch manifold with a straight through system 2". vts rear beam with drilled and grooved discs all round.. only got the car for a runaround but its to much fun very quick!

it has mot till sep so really just looking for opinons weather or not its worth gettin through next mot.. after having good look over the car looks to me as an unfinished project.

the obvoius mot failures i can see are will need manifold and cat or could i use a mk1 cat and keep the 4 branch on ?

has a rally steering wheel so airbag light flashing is it easy to fit a standard steering wheel with airbag or is there a way you can turn the light off?

has vts interoir split rear bench no mounts or brackets so ther just loose and rear passenger side backrest nnot bolted down also nothing there to bolt the bracket into unlike the other side

Also the rear beam is ridiculously low 100mm seems pretty ridged though but god knows what damage thats causing.. will have to raise it..

    droplinks needed left and right..
car is still 1.4 on the logbook not sure if it effects the mot?

other than that the engine and gearbox seem solid and smooth recent service..

sorry for long post any help , info , cheap fix ideas much appreciated thanks..

Search for airbag resistor on here mate, plenty of people have got around the problem of flashing airbag lights lol.Get a pic up of the rear seats you can buy the correct brackets etc & its poss an mot failure for having unsecured seat/s.

if you decide to take rear seats out come mot time, dont forget to take all the rear seatbelts out too.
i made the mistake of leaving them in and it still failed lol
