K&N Air Filter

    Hi,

I bought a K&N Air filter for my 1.6 VTR, im a noob to cars but learning..

I've been told that its drawing hot air in because it sits at the back of the engine to the right. i want to position it somewhere else, any suggestions/tips??

    Many thanks for any replies

Usually see them placed near PAS pump bottom of o/s in the engine bay. My vtr came with a cold air feed as stanard, just a plain airbox bolted on near the grille to draw cold air in, I'd source of these and fit that.

By a cold air flow pipe, you mean just a standard pipe coming from the front of the engine bay, or a special pipe?

You can get larger flecible ducting to help bring cold air from the front of the car to your air filter.

when the car is moving I really doubt you will notice any difference. A lot of air passes through the engine bay
