Wheel Bolts, Spacers and Wheels

  1. #1
These questions have probably been asked before so dont chew my ballsack off if they have, my search doesent seem to be working..
Right, i have just had some S' sprayed and i was wondering, would i be able to use the old tapered bolts holding my current steel wheels on? or would i have to buy flat ones to match the S'?
Also, if i were to get spacers, how thick would you reccomend to just give the wheels abit more poke, and what bolts, spacers should i use?

    Help only please, no trolling

so in answer to my questions, would it be extended flat bolts, with 25mm spacers
  6. #6
    Yes that is correct

If i was you, id look for hubcentric wheel spacers ...
  7. #7

bolts should be fine, so long as your allowing fo the extra distance of the spacer eg 25mm, so take the standard size bolt, +25 mm and thatll give you your minimum size req

are they a decent price? as ofc i'd have to buy 2 sets of them? and where should i be looking for spacers?
  11. #11
youll get spacers on ebay too, or just google hubcentric and have a look around
  12. #12
    cheers!
  13. #13
not a cheap game ive found out -.-
  14. #14
it certainly isnt, best to shop around, also check the for sale section someone might be selling them

if you buy the cheap shit ones that JUST use longer bolts be prepeared to shell out alot more cash on replacing wheel bearings regular. all the weight of the wheels and stress bears down on them, plus u have the added fun of poss having the bolts snap too.

if your gonna do down the route of spacers then do it properly hubcentric spacers that boolt to the hub with short bolts then u bolt your wheels to spacer with normal bolts. they also have a bore to fit your wheel so weight is on there too. much safer.
you can get some bargain on ebay with these but u have to wait, i got a set of 4 h&r spacers which are top price on ebay and won them for peanuts waited bout 3 months tho.

cheers mate, so its a waiting game then till some dirt cheap ones appear thanks!

doesnt take much looking for cheaper alternatives...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hubcentric...item4cf0245924
  18. #18
still £65 for 2 might jus see how they look w/out spacers
  19. #19
stil cheaper than crashed car due to bolts snapping. also cheaper than replacing wheel bearings.
if u just keep a search on ebay for 106 and saxo spacers usually 106 spacers come up cheaper and quicker
