Important! : over heating problem - part 2

i had a over heating problem and so fitted a new thermostat, i think thats done some good as the pipe after the thermostat now gets hot and the heaters now work which didnt happen before.
but now after 5/10 mins driving the red light goes on but then the needle drops down to bout the middle but the red light still stays on and so does the fan which stays on for abit even after turning the engine is off
    any ideas?

    Did you bleed it properly?

Try bleeding it again anyway... Also, could have a partially blocked pipe somewhere or your water pump is on its last legs...

Waterpump could be slipping, sometimes the pumpwheel gets loose when hot and then when cooled down works like normal.
