   Right i have a thread on this subject already and got no good replys....
   
   My 8v is miss firing like a bitch i mean, if you put the throttle on it will just bog down!
   
   And when it does drive when you brake and give it throttle the battery light comes on....
   
   What could this be? it has just had a service but not the plug as i was on the way to the shop to get them and it broke down!

   Battery light used to come on mine when booting it... Cleaned the contacts on the alternator - never seen the light come on again.
   
   Misfiring? does it only do it sometimes? as you said 'when it drives and you floor it'
   
   If so - coilpack. Got another to try? Might as-well change the plugs too.

   Get the charging/output rate of your alternator tested.

   My lambda sensor went on the saxo, and it would splutter and the battery light would flicker when slowing down as it was close to stalling..

   Thanks budd changed the plugs now and still the same!

   Thikn its gunna be the coil pack ill have to buy one a see....pricey things they are

    See if there's anyone local to you on here or if you know anyone with an R that will let you use theirs for half hour to test if it's the coil pack or not before you go buying one, could save you a bit of money. Can slo go local scrappy to get one, if it doesn't work, take it back to them and tell them it doesn't work and they should give you the money back.

    Yeah true, no one i know has a R but might just go buy a new one and hope for the best at the end of the day what else could it be?

    Have you had the alternator tested,its free at halfrauds mate.

    sounds like a crank posision sensor issue and alternator. try swithching your engine off, and (get the radio code first) then disconnect the battery overnight, come back reconect it, leave it to idle for 20-30 minutes to let the ecu re configure it self, otherwise sounds like a crack possition sensor. also, when was it last serviced? could be a sticky valve.

    Right guys....Its not fixed thought it was because but the coil pack on and it fired up perfect!
    
    Just went to put petrol in and its still does it!
    
    Please someone tell me whats wrong with this its fucking killing me!
    
    the car will revs fine, then when i try drive of in gear it will just stall or start missing...
