2nd gear

   hi i have a 51 reg vtr and when i put it in to second gear it like knocks but all other gears are fine what could it be ???

   I had a similar problem , turned out to be one of the gear linkage came off< I got a wicked set from eBay , came next day in post and the geezer had printed an idiot guide to fitting them too !!
   
   They were from Scunthorpe , I think they were about £35 quid , I can go search my eBay account if anyones interested , think he was called Inkysprint or summat like that.
