Issues with my saxo ! (pics)

This is really bugging me now, the passenger side is fine, the door catches fine, opens fine etc, but for some reason sits like this, any ideas on how to fix this ? it doesnt leak or anything and it looks fine from the other side but its just really irritating me

Next up, someone hit me whilst in a car park so I dont know who did it and did this

Think a dent repair service will be able to just pop it out? theres no damage to paintwork or anything.

Just curious as to what peoples thoughts are on these things any tips/advice is seriously appreciated

    Pop it out your self?

Your door sits that like from torque steer mate.

Your door is sitting like that because the latch on the "B" pillar has moved out you need to loosen the 2 torx head bolts and move the latch in towards the car and re tighten and will pull the door in closer.

The dent is in the plastic so I am guessing the panel behind has bent you will be very lucky to pop the panel out because it is close to the crease in the panel. A good body shop/dent man will be able to shape the panel so the vt kit will sit okay on it it doesn't even need to be pretty because its covered.

I might try it myself tbf, it is a really shallow dent tbh but I just dont know whether I wanna risk fucking it up haha, and I'll try your suggestion bedford cheers !
There is a really good dent removal guy around my area aswell i've heard so I might give him a call, just wanted to see what you guys thought before ringing him aha cheers hopefully my door will be sorted by trying what you said !

i doubt a dent removal guy would touch that tbh

that bit you see id dinted.... is a plastic trim..behind it is air then metal

as bedford posted..to get it to sit like that youve creased the door frame section of the car

merrrrrhhh it happened literally a day after I bought the car, royally pissed off, i'll take it to get looked at see what they say, tbf it does look worse in these pictures than it is I honestly think it can just be pulled/pushed out you have to kind of see it in person, I just dunno haha wanted opinions n shit :/ bleurgh such a ballache

Some has obviously tried to pull the top of the door open to steal it.

As for the vt kit i would just replace it.
  8. #8
Prickle its like that all the way down the door, I thought that at first but I dunno lol, and i'd rather not replace it haha that'll cost a bomb in getting a replacement, respraying, fitting etc lol money which I dont have, i'm not after 100% fix but when I look at it I think the dent could be fixed but obviously the door frame crease would still be there but then that could be bent back into shape, it's really hard to explain what I mean haha

Nah doors aint that dear. My mate paid £20 for a new door for his 1.1 saxo last week.

The kit isnt either. Just look for someone willing to split.

There is nothing wrong with the door just move the latch on the b pillar.
  11. #11
tbh i did think that at first..then i seen the bottom,

the pics arent great angles...could still be that though,

foot would have been on the quarter..

    how did it happen?

    i'll try my door tomorrow,
and no idea blackie I presume some daftcunt hit me then just left, was fine before swimming, came back out and hello, honestly have no fucking clue how they managed to hit my car there whilst parked up buy hey-ho, i'll try and get a more straight on pic or something tomorrow if i dont get in touch with some dent magician haha, i would have a go at doing it myself but i dont wanna make things worse my lovely vtr cant beleive this happened so soon, well I can but yer...

got some more pics, looking at it it looks like the metal door frame hasn't deformed and been to couple of bodyshops and talking around £100-£150, they told me I could probably try it myself because of the VT kit being plastic, just push the metal out best I can behind the kit and it should push it back into shape and if I am having trouble to bring it back and it will be cheaper because the panel etc will all be off
No clue how to remove the VT kit though to try and push that out lol, guy at the garage said it's just clipped on

    Where are you based mate?

If I was to attempt to remove the VT kit piece myself and try and sort it out, do they actually just clip on ? like with the same clips the doorcards use? those small white ones or are there bolts/adhesive etc and is it really not worth the hassle lol
  17. #17
    Yeah just clips.
  18. #18
Just had a quick look, feels like theyre bolted in at a certain point, pulled the bottom half off but about half way up it feels like something alot stronger than a clip is keeping it fixed, dear god please tell me i dont need to remove the inside panels from the back to remove a screw/bolt >.<:| im gonna attempt to take the kit off and push the dent out though i reckon, and if the metal frame is dented a bit then who cares cos it'll be covered lol
  19. #19
Oh i think one bolt too. Sure i read that on jezzchiz' thread or something
  20. #20
bleugh! i'll take a closer look then, thanks for all the help btw guys

You need to remove the inner quarter trim and there is a 20 torx behind there that holds the kit on
  23. #23
that rear panel is creased. you will need to knock it out fill and paint to do a decent job. i thought it was a 13mm or 10mm nut holding the rear quarter panel to the car? not a torx?

Got the part where its dented off, the kit was mostly dented inwards because it had adhesive stuck to the metal which was properly dented so because it was stuck it was pulling the plastic inwards also, now thats peeled off its 100% looking better already, so what i think im going to do is try and pull the dent out of the metal myself best i can and because the vt kit hides it just stuff something the kit to kind of fill the dent like a fuck load of newspaper or something just to help push the kit out, I'll put some pics up shortly so you can understand what I mean better
  25. #25

Like shove i dunno, even just a tonne of newspaper in where the dent is to push and hold out the plastic trim then clip/stick it back down, the idea I was thinking of tbh lol

    Don't use newspaper ffs.

Get it best you can with a hammer from inside then use tiger seal to bond it to the wing if you get the vt kit to the correct position you want ou can use the tiger seal to build it out and hold it in place.
  27. #27
You could try a hairdryer on a low heat setting working over the panel from the inside, then push the panel gently. As the metal is hot it maybe more workeable.
  28. #28
I would get a small block of wood, decent hammer and knock the actual metal out back how it was, well near enough. as for the plastic, id just get another arch.
