power steering failure

   hi guys and gals
   
   Any one help???
   
   my saxo was running fine tonight then suddenly there was a loud flapping noise, after which my steering went really heavy and my heater stopped working. Iv checked all fuses but have no idea whats wrong. please help!!!

   nothing that shouldnt be on and everything else seems ok.

   is your aux belt still intack ?

   iv just been to look and it defo not there!!!! in this case will it be ok to drive to garage 15miles away in the morning?

   If the drivebelt has snapped then you won`t get very far,because the battery won`t be being charged & you`ll exhaust the battery.
