Does anyone own a lexia 3 Diagnostic cable/kit please? if so can you tell me your experiance with it and if or any luck and use youve had from it, my problem is i really need to use one, for like a half hour, but its costly for a one time use, especially if no one has any luck with it. All replies are very apreciated. Thank you.

Yes mate there are 2 types of protocol used, the 1 you have is for later saxo`s.The early saxo`s up to 1997 use the lexia system.

Steve, how do you know which one you need? Does it look the same or does it look completely different?

Theres 1 or 2 ways of telling mate, firstly the ebay listing will tell from what year car they work from.Usually obd2 is from 2001,prior to that its lexia-3.Also you need to look at the obd port in the car & see how many pins it has.

Welshy123 knows a lot more than me on this subject mate.

Sweet, my car is a 2000! Lexia 3 it is.. More expensive too I think....

Also can you get a diagnostic code without having the EML on?

I was told no by a mechanic in answer to your question mate, however there are other ways of getting into the ecu that some garages use.Meaning plugging into the ecu directly & not using the obd port.

Ah, fair enough The lexia 3 machines look epic. £100 but you can view anything about the car. Voltages, amount of fuel going into the engine. Air intake. Would be an epic bit of kit! #Saveup #HashtagsonSaxperience

also you can decode immobiliseres, which is why I origanally wanted one, mine is lexia 3, and the diag cable is dear, but the uses are endless!
