Important! : Vtr-s EML Flashing On/Off

   Just started up my car and the Eml was flashing at me, it running abit lumpy, tried revving it sounded like it was on 3 cylinders, turned it off had a look at my sensors see if anything wasnt plugged in and it didnt sound like it was on 3 the second time.
   
   On another note theres a brown sensor at the underside of my thermostat housing, anyone know what that is? This engine is slightly different to my old vts one as this one has the oil temp sensor in the sump where as my old S lump didnt. As that is the case i have no plug for it.

   Get it on a diagnostics machine mate,get the fault code read & go from there.

   Brown plug is for euro model's something to do with the air con. Ovs not needed/used over here.
   
   I'd guess at coilpack.. as you said it sounded like it was running on 3.
   
   When my coilpack was giving in.. It would run on 3 / eml was flashing.
   
   Sometimes it was ok, other times it wasnt.. got worse over time though.

   Its been fine for a year then over the last day ive done 25 miles and its started doing it bad.

   Could be injectors

   They go completely randomly..
   
   Plug it in / swap coilpack

    Found out the issue, as i suspected. "Random Cylinder Misfire" & "Fuel Trim Bank 1"
    
    Aka coil pack and front lambda sensor
