engine light on???

   went on motoway about a month ago and engine manigment light came on, so i left it for a week or two then deciced to fill car with v-power fuel and some red x to see if that was the problem, the car drives fine with no problems what so ever, just dont no why its constent on

   firstly try resetting the ecu by unplugging your battery for quite a long period of time. If that doesnt work take it to a mechanic and get them to do some diagnostic checks to tell you whats wrong with it.

   Best thing to do is get it hooked up to a diagnostics machine,some garages will do it free of charge.Or buy a scanner from ebay mate.

   Must be the season for the EML (or MIL) light to come on - my VTR had the same problem last week - no difference whatsoever with the way the car ran and after nearly a week the light went out on it's own. The ebay scanner turned up the day after the light went out and the code was a P0300 "Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected" or according to the web could be anything from too much air to not enough fuel getting in so no real solution - My local Citroen garage said "yellow light - nothing major" lol

   PO300 is usually a faulty coil pack mate.
