   Hay guys, need my belt changing and head doing on my vts. Im in 2 minds wether to do it myself. So im asking any one who knows a rough price and a garage to get it done. I live in west midz aswell. Cheers guys

   Most places ive phoned up say between 300-400
   So my idea is let the car eventually die than new engine

   Look at my for sale thread, in selling a headgasket kit with new head bolts minus cam seals. And also a rebuilt head. Could do you a deal on everything.

   i paid about £120 iirc for the gasket kit and bolts from a motor factors

   Just remember I sent the head bolts back but I will do the head gasket kit minus the cam seals which are a few quid for £70.

   When i last checked i got quoted max £380 .. bit extreme but you could probs get it done for around £250 if your good at haggling

   also qustion what is being done, some places may seem to be a rip off but they might have priced up a cambelt and water pump as its an ideal time to change these

    Baz, is yours vts and did you have tensioners and pump n belt done changed? I would do it myself but its time and then no warranty if belt snaps. And baz what was his number or website?

    Will try to find out who it was when I get home, it was on a Furio, if you ring them he'll price it up on the phone for ya.
    
    I didn't do tensioners or water pump as I did it 2 years before I had the HG done. Changed them when I did the belt at college.

    Included them picking up the car and dropping it back of. Took them 2 days or so

    yeah it was on 8v, just noted the prices for him so he had an idea or what to expect, obv the likes of the gasket kit and bolts will be a little extra but gives an idea

    wish i had an 8v, so many more 8v's around so the parts are so much cheaper!
    
    
    baz paid £46 i paid £120 for gasket kti and bolts (i did get a kit rather than just a single gasket)
    
    plus oxfordshire is a rip off i paid £54 for my head skim over doubel the price of baz's ;(
