Bumper broke

  1. #1
Think I'm a better mechanic than I am and attempted to take the bumper.off, as it was hanging at one side, the way it took it of was going around the bumper clockwise so at the end the whole.weight of the bumper was hanging by the bracket, which gave way, so the bracket on the bumper has pulled of all the plastic clips on the bumper and the bracket itself, therefore the bumper isnt connected to the car at one side, I was going to buy a new bumper but am skint, so what's the best way of repairing it, or the best way of connecting it to the car, can you plastic weld it back on, or is there any adhesive that will do the trick, cheers.

Tiger seal the shit out of it.

    Stick anything to anything..

Or go all jap scene and drill small holes - then tie wrap the pieces together

As said tigerseal it, i had the same problem last year just sanded the bumper where the bracket sits and the rear of the bracket so the glue can sit better. Also used a load of e-poxy resin

What's epoxy resin ? And will sidereal take the strain? And where's the cheapest place to get it? Thanks again

Will the bumper still stay on with the two bolts underneath and the one working bracket? Only temporarily so as I can drive to find tiger seal

For the price of Tigerseal and 2 pac epoxy resin you can get a cheap bumper. But for now I would use the drill holes and cable tie it. I don't trust tiger seal for stuff like this because its a sealer and not a chemical cure adhesive.
