Battery light and whirring noise??

   I've noticed tonight when my ignitions on without car running the car makes a constant whirring noise until you start it and when you do start the car the battery light stays on. Does anyone have an idea what the noise or light may be caused by? Thanks

   Fixed it but now my key fob open buttons broke the buttons missing anyway but now the very small black sensor underneath the main button peice has come off. Anyone know if it can be replaced without going to Citroën?
