hey, i think there is a slight blow to my manifold at the very top were it attaches to the engine. the bolts are really badly rusted so thinking bout replacing them, is there a gasket i will need or will new bolts and a good clean sort the blowing? its a piper 4-1 if that's any help

Ideally you need a new gasket. You may get away with wire brushing the bolts then soaking them in wd40.

as steve said you may get away with cleaning up the bolts. also clean up the matting surfaces to get a better seal

Replace the bolts/studs and gasket tbh, i had the same problem a while ago when you do clean the head manifold joining ports and the manifold its self i did all that and it worked a treat.
