Help oil breather broken urgent

  1. #1
    Hi,

I recently fitted a k&n 57i, which has a hole for a modified oil breather to attach to.

Anyway tried to take off the normal oil breather & the below happened!

I am not sure if this bit will come off as it doesnt seem to budge, also there was a small metallic circular item inside the pipe that fell out.

Please help I am worried about oil leaking & need to know if I can remove the last part of the oil breather so I can attach a modified pipe.

not sure if you can remove it or not, but ages ago I was doing something and my oil breather pipe snapped, I just got some decent Silver cloth tape and taped it up, was only going to be a temporary fix for the evening, but its held that well it was still on there when I sold it 6 months later, and never had any problems

so if you cant get it off possibly tape it if you can ?

Dont see what harm a new pipe would do.
Or just slap a breather filter on like so

    Is that yours?

If so all I need to do is take the part to the right off so I can attach a silicone hose & take that to the induction kit. Or do you have to saw it off?

Not mine no and tbh Id just get a pipe that fits on the current bit and jubilee clip it. Put the new pipe over broken bit so covers it, then yeah run it to induction

Ok thanks, might just saw it down a little so its not jagged. Last question ... what diameter pipe am I going to need?

Fook knows mate lol. Go to a scrappy, take a mental picture, youll know if its to small or to big. Or just keep checking once you find a suitable size one, keep going back and forth lol

Right, I've just stuck a cone filter on my manifold, and got a small breather filter for my breather pipe, but i just kinda forced it inside the fitting that already there, any ideas if this will be okay?
