Clutch price's

    hay, does anyone have any info on how much a new clutch kit with fitting should cost?

    iv been quoted around £200 - £250 is that abit steep?

    its for a ( mk2 saxo vtr 2002)

    Pretty much what ive been quoted around, Clutch for say £110 and £96 labour was cheapest from a garage..

    Obviously you can buy cheaper clutch's that wont last long, and get someone to fit it for you, but best do it properly mate

    yehh, i found an ebay job for £36, guessing that wouldnt last too long. this quoat has a 30k warranty

    can buy valeo clutch kits for around £70 and roughly £100 to fit.

    theres a motor store where i live called motorworld and i get discount

    Last i checked Eurocarparts had something like 20% off clutches and other parts and they stock Valeo which is what i'd go for.

    Cheapest clutch kit on ECP at the minute is Sachs at £94.80, there's cheaper but they're the dreaded Trasmech

    clutch fitted £210 drove away in 3 hours pretty impressed beats my last clutch in a 1.0 saxo at £400.

    i bought a valeo for my old vts for £80, they aren't that expensive

    i priced a normal clucth up at a local car par dealers "KnS" at £57 its the labour for the work that cost a bomb

    At £57 I don't see it being a decent clutch.

    thats wat i said just a normal clutch but times are hard these days not every one has got money to pull out straight away for decent parts and if you have gud for u

    Yeah but if it fails after 2000 miles then it will be £57 for another clutch, not to mention another labour cost.

    Buying better quality products generally means they will last longer so saves money in the long run.

    i can do a clutch change for around £165 on the side, but your a bit of a distance from me with a full valeo clutch kit :/ but yeh £200 is a good price from a garage,
