Has anyone had a set of these split? I thought these were supposed to be stronger than standard. Ive managed to split a pair in under a month!!

probably due to excessive engine movement.

What about everyone else!? ive seen hundreds of people running them without issues. The cars on standard engine mounts. I could understand if they where solid!
Ive got a refund now, but don't fancy buying another set that are only going to last a month!

I`ve had my powerflex 1`s on for 4yrs now with no problems,if you have a faulty engine mount then maybe that would put strain on them.

I've used a set from a classic mini, they fit fine and at about £6 for two I cant moan. As said what engine/gearbox mounts are you running?

Vts.. Standard engine mounts, no engine movement standard silenced centre without cat, with supersprint backbox, think ill invest in some powerflex ones.

Should be alright anyway? i have a lower poweflex engine mount. other 2 are oe like.

Fair play, doesnt make much sense really they are usually very tough and unlikely to split so its taken some force. Puzzling

Same here lol I was like WTF when i looked under the car and found it split haha.. Ive got them here and they are rock solid. Id say a design flaw but they have both split in different places. Fuc* knows probably manufactured in china lol

You checked the engine mount under the ECU? the bolt that bolts the lower part of the mount could've snapped and causing excessive movement?

I know it isn't that as my old 106 Gti went and it was horrific, all engine mounts are fine bud
