where the locking pins on a 8 valve

    im in the middle of doing the head gasket but cant find the crackshaft locking pin any help be helpfull

    Have a look on the block where its flared out to meets the bell housing, theres a small hole

    is their a hole in the fly wheel as ive been round 4 times to where the cam locking pin would go and still no hole

    theres a video on youtube of a fella changing the headgasket on a 106. he shows you were the locking pins are. once you locate the locking pin for the cam pulley, which is easy. the small hole in the bell housing flare should line upi with a locking hole on the flywheel

    It's a real fucker to find but as said the YouTube video best explains.

    Only used the top one when I did mine just made sure it were at TDC before I removed belt/head
