Power steering dead

   Power steering was fine when I first drove it. After about 50 miles it cut out on me, started making a whining noise when turning it near full lock.
   
   Now it would cut off, turn it to full lock make a whining noise then kick back in.
   
   Now it's totally dead, can't hear any noise and won't kick back in. Checked the fluid it's 3/4 full any ideas?

   Relay maybe? Tried giving it a bit a shock with a bar or similar? Sometimes when they are on the way out you can give them a hit and they work for a bit, but doesn't work for long usually.

   If you look at it from the front of your car, the right hand side of it, the metal part not the plastic on the left. I reach under the bumper and give it a knock from below when mine requires it.

   You legends, started the car. Got under the bumper and smashed the pump on the metal side a good 5 times. Good as new!
