Hey guys, massive electrical problem. Got in my car earlier and went to turn the radio on. and something made a noise behind dashboard.... Went to turn car on and the indicators, central locking, heating, windows and radio wasn't working. Thought shit! Checked all fuses and they all seemed fine. Driving home with no indicators and battery light comes on ... Driving home still. Got home and parked up. Then had to move my car so as I pulled out the power steering stopped working then worked again.

I think it might be an alternator problem but wanted to know what you guys think. Electrics are a mystery to me so I need a second opinion. Cheers!

I would of thought it would be alternator problem aswell as iv had similar things occur when mine packed up tbh. i've had two second hand alternators on my car since the first one packed up, when it happened the second time i got a new battery and second hand alternator, been fine since. But worth waiting for more replys to be on safe side. however start the car and get a volt metre on the alternator, negative terminal on the battery and positive (should be a nut with a insulation cover piece) on the alternator should read above around 14 volts or take to a garage

Okay mate cheers. I think ill take it to a garage tomorrow. Needs a good checking. Don't like messing around with electrics so its my best bet. I hope its just something silly like a fuse!

Indicator problem, could be the relay, i know i need one due to it ticking when the indicators arent even on...or like you say fuse, but yer safest bet just get it looked at
