softening my suspension?

   I have a 50mm lowering kit on my vtr its the apex kit, anyway i was wondering if there is a cheapish way to make it slightly less harsh like changing the springs? The apex ones do seem pretty hard really.

   You could try Eibach Sportlines but they are not cheap. Its a progressive spring rather than a linear rate spring like the Apex. Its lighter material as well which helps unsprung weight a smidgen.
   Other way is to raise the car up to allow extra suspension travel.
