i wanna change these but cant seem to find the size of spark plug spanner i need on a 97 VTS ? and also are these suitable or would i need an extension bar with a deep socket ?

    Thanks in advance

extension with a 16mm plug socket, might need a UJ as well can't remember 100%

yeah its 16mm deep socket needed with a wobble joint so you can get in

Typically my sockey set is 1/4 so its proving difficult to find a 16mm deep socket.

Does anyone know if you can get an adaptor to go from 1/4 to 1/2 as i can find it in this size on ebay.

You can get half inch to quarter adaptors and vice versa no problem, get one for your tool box, they are handy things to have.

or get a new wratchet, there are a reason that generally 1/4 drive stuff doesn't go up that high, how tight the bigger stuff goes means your going to be close to breaking the wratchet/extension bar/socket

but dont think i will get before the weekend but as im not driving car at the mo i can do the other service bits i suppose then drop the spark plugs at a later date assuming of course i can find an 8mm sump plug key lol

Yeah could always do all rest of service then drive and do plugs after.

8mm sump plugs... worlds 2nd worse invention. 1st being flat headed screws / bolts.

Swap it for a normal 19mm sump plug.

Lol at least with a flat head you can always find a screwdriver that fits of course if its tight then you end up ruining the screw instead hmmmmm
