What is this button?

   Hey guys, have found a picture from another thread on modding LED's, however, my car has this button and it has NO use as far as I can tell.
   
   
   
   It seems to not even be connected, the hazards are a "click on / click off" style button, whereas this just feels like a standard push to make / push to break button. The same can be said of the rear de-mister button. Is this a problem with the button? or more of an issue than I'm thinking?

   that button is to do with the interior sensors for the alarm
   sensors are at top of A pillars.

   apparently you can turn off the sensors in your car so the alarm wont go off if you leave the windows open / leave people in the car with the alarm activated
   
   never actually worked in my old vts mind...

   As said it turns off the sensors on the a pillars. You're supposed to hold it for a couple of secs until the light ( that normally flashes when alarm is armed ) glows steady, then get out, lock the car, it will flash as usual but won't go off if something moves inside ( dog etc lol )

   Cheers for the help (again - thats all I seem to be saying on this forum at the moment, haha) ... I have tried holding it, pressing it etc but the LED next to it doesnt flash - nor does the button itself, like I said, feels more like a contact button, rather than an "on / off" button ... gives me more stuff to tinker with this weekend I guess
